The Steel Can Recycling Council was established in 1996 to encourage
consumers to send their steel cans to recycling rather than to landfill.
Australia currently has a steel can recycling rate of 56%. The Steel
Can Recycling Council is working towards increasing this to 65%
in line with the new National Packaging Covenant Steel Packaging
Target.
To meet this target, the Steel Can Recycling Council works with
local, state and federal government, recycling contractors, can
manufacturers, marketers, retailers, media and the general public.

offers, check out our
